Just Another Day

Off to Kindergarten we go again. Brandon just loves it. Apparently today Brandon was hanging off a trapeze bar and all the kids sitting on a nearby seat were laughing. According to Brandon everybody loved  his monkeying around. Today was the first day that Brandon's Kindergarten had a library day so the library bag that I finally made for Brandon last night, or more to the point- early this morning, was put to good use. In Brandon's words "My teacher had twenty one hundred books on the floor and she called out everyone's name to go and choose a book" At the moment twenty one hundred is Brandon's favourite number.

The rest of the day entailed Bailey and I going to his swimming lesson. We were customarily late again. Just before his swimming lesson the 2 of us had dropped into the shops to buy a pair of shoes for daddy. That should help him out a bit. Back to swimming- Bailey did really well except that there is a few things he is not wanting to do. Because they do the same things pretty much each week in the lesson so that pool safety becomes second nature to the kids, it also means that for a smart little boy, he constantly knows what is up next in the lesson. He knows that when we sing Ring a Ring of Roses at the end it means that he puts his head under water and he isn't so keen to do that unless he has instigated it. Somewhat challenging. Bailey and I continued swimming for another 45 minutes after his lesson just for the fun of it. It was also very hot outside so being in the shade in a pool was the perfect place to be.

Daddy was able to pick up Brandon today from Kindergarten which was a lovely surprise for everyone. I spent the whole afternoon and evening working while daddy took the 2 boys to Brandon's swimming lesson. I think that we might change the 2 boy's lessons to another day and time because Brandon is way too tired swimming in the afternoon and Bailey just runs around the pool. Another thing that I'll organise. I'm really looking forward to spending the day with the 2 boys tomorrow. There's no Kindergarten, no rushing out the door, no massive lunch boxes to try and conquer, no timetable -just the 2 boys and myself moving through the day. Although today was really just another day, I plan to make tomorrow a very special day for the boys.
