I slept in today until 6:30am. No-one woke me up to tell me they had done a poo in their pants. In fact I was gardening by 7:30am. It was a beautiful day and it was going to be a very hot day. I spent the next 5 hours gardening which meant I did every part of our garden. I was so very proud of myself as I had been wanting to fix the yard up for a very long time and now that the kids weren't here with me I got the chance to. I ventured to the The Salvation Army store to drop off 2 bags of beautiful clean toys and clothes before then heading to the tip to drop off a huge garden bale full of weeds. Upon my return home I continued gardening only to fill up another 2 garden bales. I even sprayed any remaining weeds left behind. I had allowed all day to do the gardening but I finished early so I showered and had a delicious lunch. I even watched Oprah before contemplating whether I could have an afternoon sleep. But I jumped up and did some washing before then starting on cleaning our study/office. I'm glad I started it this afternoon because it took me many hours. I threw out so much paper. Such a satisfying feeling. Having a huge clean up makes you realise just how much paper you accumulate. Strangely enough when we receive the paper it all seems so very important at the time.
After mass cleaning of the study, I spoke to my mum on the phone for awhile before grabbing a wine and walking around my beautiful landscaped garden. So lovely. So quiet. So tranquil, well at least for a bit longer yet before the boys arrive home. So now it's 6:30pm and I'm just about to eat dinner. It will be only the second time in nearly 4 years that I've had dinner so incredibly early. I don't have much else to say except that I am absolutely exhausted. My arms are very sore from pulling out millions of weeds. Tomorrow I'm cleaning the inside of the house. Can't wait!
