"As Tempting As It Is, Don't Wake Him Up"

Having 2 boys that really aren't interested in sleeping has always been somewhat challenging to me so when one of them, or heaven for bid, both of them, happen to fall asleep, then I'm all for letting them continue. So when Bailey fell asleep sitting up on the lounge this afternoon through complete exhaustion, I just let him sleep. Mind you, Brandon was about to embark upon a tyrant of onslaughts to wake him up, but I caught him just in time. We moved Bailey so that he was lying down and there he stayed for about 1/2hour. I folded copious amounts of washing in that time while Brandon sat next to me and watched cartoons on TV.

Both boys were up fairly early this morning so we all ventured down to the park with food, bikes, hats, helmets and kids in tow. Bailey rode his little tricycle while Brandon just ran and ran. Both Brandon and myself ran around and around the tracks at the park, racing each other. Great exercise especially because it was so very hot too. Eventually we all headed home to cool down and refuel. The 2 boys and I played Snap and a Memory Game with  some Toy Story 3 cards. I say some cards as Bailey has ripped the rest of the deck of cards. He is super destructive. The 3 of us had a great time. Daddy sort of slept on the lounge for a little while which was a feat amongst itself as the 2 boys and I were playing very noisily about 1 metre from him. We don't have a quiet household anymore. Ever since the 2 boys came into the world, the noise levels have gone through the roof.

Daddy went off to do a quote for work which meant that the 2 boys and I went off exploring. We ventured up to the local bakery to grab some food. Both boys, especially Brandon, wanted to eat our food up at the shops, so we did. Then we ordered some hot chips from the cafe and gobbled them up. When we finally returned home, the 2 boys and I went outside for several more hours. Luckily the day was just beautiful. It was meant to rain today but at 9pm now it still hasn't rained. Hopefully we continue to have great weather tomorrow. The 2 boys and I hung out our washing, jumped on the trampoline, threw balls to each other, played with trucks in the mud, and just generally had a great time. Daddy finally arrived home to then duck out and do the food shopping. As it was so late daddy went on his own because with the 2 boys a 45 minute shop would have taken close to 2 1/2 hours. Seriously.

Brandon, Bailey and I finally came inside to sit quietly on the lounge and watch some cartoons. That's when little Bailey fell asleep right before my eyes. He held on for so long and then just couldn't fight it anymore. I had the boys fed and bathed early but by the time they then ate huge amounts of  even more food and then read  huge amounts of even more books it starts to become quite late. So with the 2 boys now finally asleep in their beds I ordered some Indian home delivery which has just arrived. Yahoo!! Everyone is asleep, including my lovely husband, so I'll go and attempt to wake him up. Hopefully the 2 boys will have great sleeps without anyone waking anyone else up.
