But I Haven't Got Any Money....

Today was hot and it started so very early. I don't know what happened to my 2 boys sleeping in. So the day begins. We all wave goodbye to daddy as he heads off to work. Bailey decides then that he would like us all to stay outside on the driveway and play, irrespective of the fact we are still in our pyjamas. So he has a tantrum. I negotiated with him, but there is only so much of that before I realise the only way is to pick him up and head inside. That's when I realised (experienced)  how much a Thomas The Tank Engine Train can hurt when it's hurled at your cheek from very short range.

Once inside, we again juiced half an orchard. Today we had orange, apple and watermelon juice. Delicious. Bailey chose to add cornflakes, yoghurt, milk and that flying ThomasTrain to his. His choice, even though I told him it was starting to gross me out. So outside we headed again to throw all our food scraps into our brand new compost bin. I told you we would fill it up in record time.

Packed a huge bag of food for our daily adventures knowing full well that it would still probably not be enough. I think I should just bring our fridge with us every time we venture out. Off we went to the pool to swim and meet up with some friends. My 2 friends also have 2 boys each, exactly the same age. Imagine how much fun 6 boys have. Imagine how much food 6 boys eat! Everyone had a great time.

As we left the pool Brandon asked for a lolly. This is how the conversation went.
Mummy can I have a lolly?
No sweetheart. I don't have any money on me.
I want a lolly!
I don't have any money.
I WANT A LOLLY!
I don't have any money. I don't even have 1 cent in my purse at the moment.
Show me your purse.
Why do you want my purse?
To see if you have 2 cents.

How cute .I just cracked up. I managed to destract him from pursuing thoughts of lollies and potential tantrums. I entertained 3 boys by putting a flower behind my ear and dancing. Something I would never have dreamed of doing pre-children.

We came home and to our delight daddy drove up behind us. We spent the afternoon watching some cartoons and I folded 7 loads of washing. Then we ventured outside to play. Daddy swung Brandon on the swings while Bailey and I put more stuff into our compost bin.

I had the pleasure of putting Brandon to bed tonight. The 2 boys and I went to the circus 2 weeks ago where the boys bought a glow stick each. Brandon has one that turns bright green. So tonight he had it almost right next to his head while attempting to go to sleep. After a few minutes he said to me that he wasn't tired anymore and that he didn't need to go to sleep . I questioned his ability to sleep with a bright green light in his face. 10 seconds later he was asleep. Goodnight.
