Just Imagine...

Imagine how the world must look through kids eyes. It must be trully fascinating, so when Brandon said to me "I want to eat worms and ants and everything" I can only but imagine what's going through his head.

The 2 boys and I started our day reading. The boys just love books. As you read they just watch your face and practice saying the words just from watching your lips. Also it must help when you read the same book for an hour on their request. But they love it. We then ventured into the kitchen where we divulged our freshly picked strawberries from yesterday. On Brandon's insistence we made freshly squeezed orange and apple juice with the boys giggling with joy as they squashed all the fruit through the juicer. Just as well it's an industrial juicer. When I bought it pre-children I must have just known I would need it to juice half an orchard at once. And so we looked at all the fruit scraps overflowing on the kitchen bench, and made an instant decision that we would begin a compost bin.

I was still working out the logistics of beginning a compost with 2 boys, when we got a call from daddy requesting an emergency drop off of work supplies. So jumping in the car off we went to make our delivery. Once done we decided to call in to the nearest health food store that was just a little bit alternative. Wanting the boys to have lots of different experiences everyday I thought it would be the perfect place. We stayed there for what seemed like hours with questions being fired at me from Brandon about everything. Great fun. Great place. Mission accomplished.

Had lunch at home before deciding to finally collect the photo of the boys with a crocodile. Was starting to think this photo might not exist, but we got it. Will frame it tomorrow and put it in the toy room.

The boys spent the rest of the afternoon telling daddy all about compost bins, worms, pollen and bees. There's nothing like hearing your own words coming out of the mouth of a 3 year old, especially as I question his ability everyday as to whether he can actually hear me. But I know that he can.

I went to work and the day became 2 boys and daddy so that's adventures that one day will be told too. Typical chaos, lots of learning, heaps of fun, masses of wrestling and a trail of destruction. Looking forward to tomorrow.
