Zoom Zoom Zoom

Today we zoomed. We zoomed here, we zoomed there, we zoomed everywhere. The 2 boys I think woke up zooming. Well actually they woke up ridiculously early. Now I am  usually awake at 4:45am, so for me to say it's ridiculously early, it's early.

We had read, played, eaten breakfast, packed the bags for the day and I was just about to dress the boys when I thought I should just check the time. (If I dress kids too early I'm usually looking for a second set of clothes again). It was only 7:15am. Great. No chance of anyone getting dressed in day clothes yet.  Outside we went to water the veggie garden. The boys found mud. (Hence my lesson in life not to dress anyone nicely yet).

9am. Finally everyone was dressed for activity out in the world. Off we zoomed to sports coaching. One hour spent watching Brandon diligently listen to his instructor. Maybe I need a whistle. Soccer, basketball, tennis, you name it they play it. Really the class should be called 'Let's cram as much physical activity into 1 hr as possible".

10:15am. We zoomed home to throw the stroller out of the car boot into the garage. Bring on a life never needing a stroller I say! Then we zoomed over to Bunnings and purchased a 220 Litre compost bin. Couldn't bring myself to part with $95.00 for those 2000 live worms sitting in a box staring at us on the shelf in aisle 23 at Bunnings. Literally shoved the compost bin into my now empty boot. Zoomed home to throw the compost bin out of the car boot into the garage. Just as well my husband wasn't home because all our stuff was over half the garage.

11:30am We zoomed off to the shops to refuel our fridge, pantry and very empty stomachs. Actually mine was the only empty stomach. Everytime the 2 boys and I get into the car without fail I hear " I want some food". Mind you it actually sounds like "I want some dude". It fascinates me. Fair enough we must of had breakfast at about 6am today, but they had been eating all morning. Hence why we now have a compost bin. It will probably take a week to fill up. Just watch.

12:30pm Zoomed home. Oh look- there's daddy's car parked in the driveway. I wonder why he's home and I wonder why he hasn't parked in the garage. And then I remember. Oops. Damn stroller. Lovely compost bin.

1pm Lunch. Surely everyone might like a nice quiet afternoon??? Crazy thought . Outside we went to create our compost, swing, dig, play, climb, throw dirt in your brother's hair, separate a potential dirt fight, admire the plants and the serenity they represent (that part was my thinking), wipe dirt now out of both boys hair, and on it goes. I told the boys I would be sitting down for 30 seconds and that was it, no matter what. I got 5 secs. Room for improvement.

5pm. Zoomed inside to start dinner. Wished I'd started ages ago.

7:45pm Boys in bed.

Maybe the 2 boys might sleep in tomorrow.
