"I Just Want My Yucky Brain To Go Away"

Brandon was not feeling so good this afternoon because it seems that he's picked up a cold from kindergarten yesterday. It doesn't surprise me because there was 1 little boy there who coughed all over Brandon many times. I had to tell him to cover his mouth while his mum just sat there oblivious. It always happens. So regrettably Brandon had the day off kindergarten today.

The 2 boys and I hung out at home this morning doing all sorts of kid things- drawing, faxing Ben 10 pictures to Nanny & Poppy C, crying, chucking tantrums because mummy won't give any chocolate to Bailey, parking bikes in the toilet, and just not sitting still for a second. A typical hour in the life with my 2 boys.

There is only so much staying at home that I can appreciate so I rounded the 2 boys up and we ventured out to the petrol station to pump up the boy's bike tyres. As it happened the big sign near the air pump told us not to use it on bikes so Brandon, Bailey and myself pumped up my car tyres instead. Brandon loved it. Bailey couldn't have cared less. He decided to run. Just as well that I'm semi good at juggling kids running in the opposite direction to each other. When it happens all the time I guess you just learn how to work it.

From the petrol station the 2 boys and I drove out to a sports shop to buy daddy a new gym towel. Tomorrow is my husband's first time back at the gym for some time. Right next door to the gym shop is a  fruit and veggie shop so we ducked in to top up on all our fruit. The boys and I made 4 huge freshly squeezed juices this morning which were just delicious. Brandon was starting to deteriorate again so we went home quick smart. Bailey had a sleep while Brandon began to cry because his ears hurt and he was just plain miserable. It's 11pm and he is still crying. Hopefully he'll finally go to sleep now and stay asleep. Fingers crossed. Between cries and sobs, Brandon spent the afternoon yelling out miserably "I just want my yucky brain to go away". Poor little kid. Sometimes I just feel so helpless. Hopefully tomorrow, Brandon will be better, Bailey won't be sick and the sun will be shinning.
