I've realised lately that wherever I go, the 2 boys go. Whenever I go to the bathroom to brush my teeth, the 2 boys are there right at my feet. Whenever I may go to the toilet the 2 boys are right there with me no mater how much I insist on boundaries.Whenever I try to sneak out of the house once daddy is home, the 2 boys are right there with me, totally defeating the reason for me sneaking out. Then when I flopped down on my bed this afternoon for a 1 minute break, low and behold the 2 boys were right there with me. In fact they were both sitting on top of me on the bed. Wherever I go, the 2 boys are right there with me.
The only time today that 2 small boys weren't within a 30centimetre radius from me was when they were first watching some cartoons on TV. I was in the kitchen making up some more dinners to freeze. I ended up making another 4 meals. I was on fire. I've actually cooked so many meals in the past 2 days that the freezer is now verging on overflowing. After the successful completion of many numerous delicious meals, the 2 boys and I headed down to the park at the end of our street and rode bikes and played. There was another family already at the park with whom we didn't know. Thanks to Brandon and his constant talking and his lack of personal space requirement, by the time we left the park I knew the ins and outs of that family. They too had a boy a few months older than Brandon but Brandon towered over him. The boys ran and rode and kicked a ball around all together. It was a beautiful warm today so it was great weather to be outside.
Eventually, the 2 boys and I walked the very short distance home and then the creative side of the kids came out. We literally walked out our back door and started playing with play dough and that's where we all stayed for the next 2 1/2hours. That's how long the beautiful coloured play dough took to turn brown. I rounded up the 2 boys for some late lunch. Brandon chucked a wobbly over lunch because I served up the wrong food. Even if I had served up the right food he still would have chucked a wobbly. He is just not interested in food at the moment. At least Brandon took himself off to his room to calm down and have a play. After some considerable time Brandon re-emerged like he had never left.
Daddy came home and I attempted to sneak out of the house to have 10 minutes to myself. I was only heading up to the supermarket, but alas by the time I got to the car park of the shops, I had 2 kids in tow. I had the kid's dinner cooking very early tonight. Daddy fed them while I made their beds and organised pyjamas. They were bathed and read to in good time so much so that lights were out by 6:15pm. Neither child was asleep until 1 hour later but that still makes it an early night for daddy and I. Yippee!
