Little Sponges

It's funny when you hear your own children say things to each other that you just know they have learnt from you. So when Brandon said to Bailey this evening "Holy gees Bailey. You've created a lot of work" I knew exactly where that had come from. I'm always so careful to speak accurately when around the kids, but sometimes when all they do is make a big fat mess, I might be known to occasionally tell the 2 boys that they've created so much work for me.

My 2 little absorbent sponges and I went to Kindergarten this morning. It's Brandon's last day for the week at Kindergarten which is great because after awhile it starts feeling very repetitive with all the driving that I do. We said a big goodbye to Brandon, and then Bailey and I went to an Environmental centre half way between kindergarten and home. We had a great time. Apart from the very cold wind that blew through my bones today, Bailey and I discovered all sorts of things. We looked for Koalas and saw a kangaroo. It's a huge wetland area with hundreds of birds and heaps of lookouts. We did some wildlife jigsaws, colouring in, looked at all sorts of shells from sea shells to tortoise shells. We walked along the treetop boardwalk. The 2 of us had a great time.

The afternoon was a quiet one as I worked and the 2 boys hung out with daddy. They were going to venture out but the very cold winds were a great deterrent. As a result, all I could hear while I was working was the constant chatter from Brandon. Brandon loves to organise and he really loves to organise Bailey. Now that Bailey too loves a chat he can frequently be heard saying "No way. No" to Brandon. I love listening to their conversations that they have together. Brandon always says to Bailey "Yes Bailey. I know. I know. Yes Bailey I hear you". They are the funniest boys. I'm looking forward to hanging out with them tomorrow.
