The painting of our house continued throughout most of the day and while not finished, due to the running out of paint and 1 exhausted husband, it looks fantastic. It's so very much lighter even though there are several very dark feature walls. I love it. As my husband painted away, I took the 2 boys for a drive to the rubbish tip. We had spent most of the morning doing chores and washing at home, so I thought an outing for the day would be fun. It was the most perfect day and everyone appeared to be at the tip. Brandon and Bailey had a great time. At one point when I was dumping the old microwave that had recently blown up on us, there was an enormous digger right next to my car squashing all the old steel. It was amazing. The 2 boys were in awe. My big momentous moment for the day was when I threw out at the tip what had previously been Brandon's, and most recently Bailey's, nappy change table. I had realised yesterday that it was just sitting in Bailey's room unused and simply taking up space. So Bailey and I dismantled it and to the tip it went. Now apart from the cot, which we should have thrown out a long time ago, that was all the baby things gone. It felt quite liberating. I had thought of selling it but it was just so well loved after having been used endlessly by 2 the boys.
Upon our return home, I thought that I'd drop into the hotel where my parents were planning on staying while visiting us. We quite literally drove past it. I couldn't see their camper van nor car anywhere. As I drove out of the hotel car park to return home, the silhouette of a person caught my eye from one of the hotel rooms with their doors open. Then I realised that it was my mum. We parked straightaway, jumped out of the car and ploughed through their front door. The boys were so very excited as was I. We chatted for awhile before heading off to go to the bakery and then met my parents at home.
Our Sunday afternoon consisted of Art and Craft, playing outside, and hanging out endless loads of washing. As it got later and later in the afternoon the tireder and tireder I think the 2 boys went. Just like me as I sit here constantly dozing off to sleep. Sweet dreams everyone.
