Internally, our house is now a different colour. The change of colour wasn't intentionally designed to be altered today, it just happened. My husband worked this morning while the 2 boys and I stayed at home and pottered around. It was blowing an absolute gale today so much so that I thought our house was going to blow away. I didn't want to take the kids out in the wind firstly because they may have blown away too and I really love them so I didn't want to loose them to the wind, and secondly because I didn't want them sick as it was freezing. My husband arrived home at 10am and began painting our pool room. I was excited but not surprised because we had been wanting to change the inside colour of our house for some time. I wasn't really expecting it being done until possibly Christmas time. How wrong I was. Well one room turned into half the house. Things were looking great. My husband had to finish up eventually as I had clients from 12pm onwards. While I was working, my husband took the 2 boys into the shops to pick up some dry cleaning and do a few other things. Once they returned home Bailey was sleeping so Brandon and I ducked up to the supermarket while my husband kept painting. Our house looks absolutely amazing. I think that my next thing to change will be the kitchen cupboards. They are a great colour but I really love the look of high gloss white. I'm going to paint them so I'll have to check out the paint when we go to Bunnings next.
As I sit back here appreciating our new found colour scheme, I'm now incredibly inspired to continue on with our renovating. It's amazing how a lick of paint can transform a space and inspire your life. Exhilarating.
