Unfamiliar Territory

I did many things today that put me in unfamiliar territory. It was quite amazing. Firstly though I have to say happy Father's Day to my wonderful husband. I hope that you have had a great day. I know that the 2 boys absolutely loved making you their lovely presents and they absolutely loved giving you the presents that we bought. They had a ball choosing them.

My morning began with Bailey and I playing with trains. It was very early when we were playing but never the less we kept playing. Brandon emerged and by then Bailey had to wake daddy up. They were chomping at the bit to give him their Father's Day presents. It was lovely to see the enjoyment on the kids faces and on my husband's face as well. Because Ben 10 was on TV and Brandon really wanted to see it, I headed into the shops on my own. Now that was the first activity where I felt like I was in unfamiliar territory. While I was driving very quietly to the shops I just happened to catch out of the corner of my eye, I property open house. I pulled over and had a look. It was very informative. I quizzed the agents about everything. It was great fun.

Once I arrived at the shops I did a few things for work and then actually tried on some clothes. It was great. I even bought somethings. Once I returned home I hung out with the 2 boys for awhile and then I begun cleaning. My husband's cousin Andrea was coming to stay for the night to babysit the kids so I wanted to get the house in a some what clean state. My husband went food shopping while I continued to clean and do art and craft with the boys. The day just seemed to vanish, and then the 2 boys went crazy. They spent about 4 hours running around naked. It was like someone had injected straight sugar into their veins. They didn't stop running and jumping and laughing and wrestling. I could not believe it. Andrea arrived and Brandon and Bailey continued with their craziness. They both remembered her like she had only left yesterday. It was lovely to see the pure joy on their faces.

I managed to get Bailey into bed and after reading several stories to him he was asleep within seconds. Brandon was asleep not long after him. Once the 2 boys were asleep, my husband and I got all dressed up and went out for some dinner together. Andrea was babysitting for us which was fantastic. Sitting at the restaurant table on Father's Day was a very surreal experience. We continued on like normal pre-children adults. We didn't run anywhere. We even managed to have a decent and complete convesrsation with each other. It was such unfamiliar territory. I do look forward to seeing the 2 boys in the morning.
