Flying Children

Brandon and Bailey are convinced that they can both fly. They even flap their arms as wings before they take off. They can fly quite far to my utter dismay and horror. Usually they land relatively safely it's just what or whom they usually both land on that suffers the full impact. Commonly their landing strip is me. Today they both jumped on me from a great height at the same time and I went down. I don't think I broke my cheekbone but at full impact I thought I had. I wasn't a happy chappy.

Between the 2 boys flying around the living room, we did all venture out to Bunnings Hardware for art and craft. It was very busy still but not as chaotic as last Monday. The boys painted and glued all sorts of things on to 2 small timber cars. As per usual, they had a great time. The young lady who was organising the art and craft just adored the 2 boys. She spent most of her time with them, and when she wasn't with Brandon and Bailey, both boys were yelling out for her. Bailey kept yelling "Lady!" at the top of his little lungs. They are so well mannered and such lovely kids. While very loud, they are lovely boys.

I had a big list of things that we did actually need to buy at the shop, so once the kids had finished gluing and painting, they wheeled their miniature trolleys alongside me as we went exploring. The art and craft lady said that she would try and work on Mondays now so that she could talk to the boys. She knew a bit about Ben 10 and said that she would find out more about some of the aliens. Brandon was nearly beside himself. Bailey kept telling her that he loved Thomas the Tank Engine. My funny boys. We gathered everything that was on our Bunnings list and then headed to the Bunnings indoor playground. The kids had a play and then their empty stomachs must have overtaken any concept of future play because they both sat down next to me and ate and ate and ate. Eventually the boys finished eating from my mobile fridge and continued playing.

Many an hour later we finally left Bunnings. It was a beautiful warm day outside.  The 2 boys and I dropped off some Gift Vouchers to several of my clients who lived right near where we currently were. That done, we headed home. The afternoon was spent playing with the kids then Brandon decided to just sit and watch some TV while Bailey and I jumped on the trampoline. My husband came home and I went to work. I finished work late this evening and by the sound of it, the 2 boys had been winding daddy up. We bathed them, dressed them, read to them and then fed them again, at their insistence. The night finished off pretty much like the day started- with flying children. Thankfully no-one collided and it all ended well. Goodnight flying boys.
