Through all our running, the 2 boys and I had a great day at the Botanic Gardens at Mt Cootha. While miles away from home, it was worth the adventure. Brisbane City Council put on a huge event for kids at the gardens. There was so many different activities for them to do. Brandon's most favourite adventure for the day would have to have been African Drumming. He absolutely loved it. He loved it even more once he got to hold onto and play his own drum. It was so hard to drag him away. The only reason that I did was because Bailey was running hell for leather up a hill in the completely opposite direction. So off we went.
The 2 boys also painted origami paper, made Japanese clay beads, watched Aboriginal games, watched a clown performance, patted a white magicians rabbit, looked at a real bat, and walked and walked and ran and ran. The weather was beautiful so it was a lovely day to be out in the gardens. We all went exploring and discovered rainforests and bridges, and secret pathways. We also came across lots of beautiful waterfalls. Brandon was very keen to come back again, of which we will definitely. There was also a Planetarium there which looked great and worth a look. Once we had finally reemerged from the Botanical Gardens and found our car, we attempted to head over to visit my husband. By now I was extremely tired and therefore got very lost, so I pulled over, looked at my map, nothing made any sense so I went home.
