This morning we headed to sports coaching for Brandon's class. Beyond that I had no plans as yet and was actually racking my brain for something to do afterwards. Normally I have heaps of options but the creativity wasn't flowing just yet. Brandon played t-ball today. Just like last week when he played Cricket, it was funny to see little boys running between the bases and not really comprehending why. Brandon did really well. He hit the ball with humongous force. It was great. Great hand and eye co-ordination.
We headed back home to collect DVDs and library books as Brandon wanted to go to the library. So off we went. We left the stroller behind in the car as we eventually found a car space. The 2 boys walked while I juggled with food bags, boys, library books and DVDS. But we managed to cross the street successfully and Brandon even wanted to pick me a beautiful white flower. Such a beautiful boy
Once we walked through the library doors the 2 boys just ran. They knew exactly where all the library toys were. Of course, when they run I run. So we all ran to the toys and books. The 2 boys played and played and Brandon introduced himself to other kids while Bailey played fantastically with lots of other little kids. He made a friendship with another little boy and even gave him a huge hug, before later pushing him over.
We borrowed 10 books from the library with Brandon choosing them all. I am sure that we will read them all tomorrow. I started reading to Brandon this morning at the library, while Bailey was playing with trucks, but as soon as he saw us sitting he ran. So we just borrowed that book. Eventually I rounded up the 2 boys so we could drag the boy's library bags up to the front computer to borrow the books. It wasn't an easy task as Bailey was running between all the book aisles as Brandon was jumping and rolling around in the reading cushions. I got everyone and everything out of the library vicinity and we dropped, quite literally, everything into the car. Heaving out the double stroller from the boot, I thought it would be much easier with Bailey in that. Alas, no. It just created different challenges.
We headed over to the shops for some lunch. Parking our stroller near the turtle statue playground/fountain I thought would entertain the boys while they ate lunch. Brandon sat up on the food court chair and watched me get all the lunch items out. Once I had opened my nice cold drink and was bringing it up to my mouth, Brandon said to me "I need to go to the toilet" "Of course u do." I replied as I closed my lid. I shoved all the nice hot lunch in the top of the stroller and we ran. We all got to the loo in time for Brandon to release the flood gates. Then we all ran back to the food court, I unpacked the now squashed lunch, and it was just like we hadn't gone anywhere.
The boys had a great time. Bailey threw absolutely every single thing I gave him for lunch on the floor. He threw a sushi roll in 3 parts, he threw mummy catered watermelon and apple pieces (he actually slammed the whole container of fruit on the floor), he threw tomato sauce, he threw nappy wipes and he threw a tantrum, because he'd thrown everything and I wouldn't give him any more ammunition. Meanwhile Brandon was running through the turtle statues and jumping over the water jets that were throwing water up into the air. The one day when I don't have a set of spare clothes for the boys and it's the one day when I need 10 sets of clothes for the boys. Brandon was saturated. He was standing on top of the water jet with water shooting up his legs, all over his top, arms and face and laughing hysterically. He was completely wet. I asked him if he had bought a change of clothes, and when he said no I asked him how he was going to get home because he wasn't sitting in his car seat like that. I told him that I couldn't put him on the roof racks and that he would have to go nudie until we got home. His eyes lit up.
So I drove home with1 completely nude boy and one half nude boy ( Bailey's pants had juice all over them so they had come off too). By now it was 2pm ish and we had to get home so that I could organise for my afternoon clients and get all the boy's bed time things ready..
Daddy came home and the 2 boys and daddy went outside to play while I went off to work. I was heading off to a business seminar after my clients. It sounded very interesting and informative.
Learnt heaps at the seminar, well worth my time. There are some unhappy people out there in business. Inspired me to make sure our 2 businesses and daddy and I have a life and keep ticking along. Keep doing what we are doing. Business as usual.
