"The Biggest Noodle In The Whole World"

Today for breakfast the boys ate and ate and ate. They ate so much, especially Brandon, that I even had to dig out the 2minute noodles. Brandon spent the next 10 minutes looking for the biggest noodle in the whole world amongst his bowl of food. It was great entertainment for me and it meant that he ate all his food. In fact his plate was so clean it didn't need to go into the dishwasher.

We were in no hurry to go anywhere this morning as it was pouring torrential rain. I don't know where summer is this year. It's been left behind somewhere. Hopefully the sun will come out tomorrow and everything will dry out. Once there was a lessening of rainfall, we jumped in the car and headed to the shop. I thought we'd have a relative quiet day today seeming as yesterday was very humid and hot and physical. We went and did some chores which were rather uneventful. We paid bills, put some dry cleaning in to be cleaned, paid for it, went to the supermarket to stock up on more bread, chocolate freckles, yoghurt and cheese. It doesn't take much before it all adds up. The boys were great in the supermarket because I had just bought them a donut which appeared to pacify them. Put that one in my memory bank. I ducked and weaved and overtook in the shops with the double stroller because no one in the crowds seemed to have any particular idea where they were going. We eventually escaped and came out the other end unscathed.

Home we went. Bailey fell asleep while Brandon toyed with the idea. He was fascinated with the play dough that a very large Elmo had given him at the shops. I knew I'd be playing with play dough all afternoon. I was right. Once we got home, put Bailey in his bed, bought everything in from the car and dumped it on the floor inside, we started rolling out play dough. I wasn't working this afternoon and evening so the pressure was off as to having to organise getting ready for my clients. So I didn't feel so rushed to have to wrap afternoon activities up so early. We just played and played. After Brandon had finished with the play dough, the 2 of us played a preschool learning game on the computer. He loves it. We only play it when it's just the 2 of us. Once Bailey was awake and the feeding frenzy had subsided again, we headed outside to play. Everyone of course gravitated to the trampoline.Daddy got the laptop out and sat outside with us looking at property while I pretended to be a dinosaur in the trampoline as 2 little boys ran away from me. A lot of the time I'm still trying to work out wheather they chase me or I am actually chasing them. It's hard to tell because the ending is always the same - I am always jumped on by 2 boys and squashed. The 2 boys and I jumped and jumped and jumped until it rained and got dark. Brandon and Bailey wanted to keep jumping but that was no longer practical unless I bought out the floodlights and they didn't know that was a possibility.

I cooked dinner and made some dessert. Not a lot was eaten which means I'll be feeding the 2 boys noodles for breakfast probably again after they have devoured yoghurt and cereal, and fruit and cheese and "a little tasty snack", as Brandon says.
