I asked Brandon innocently today "What do you think Santa would like for a snack when he comes to visit?" Brandon's answer "Broccoli!" "Noooooo! I don't think so. That's a great suggestion but I think he'd like some smarties" I responded. I am not sure where he got the idea for broccoli. Rudolph and the other reindeer's are having chopped up carrots apparently.
The sun was actually shinning today. Hooray. The rain stopped for a few hours which was great. But it was unbelievably hot and humid. So humid that if you moved too much I'm pretty sure you'd melt. The 2 boys and I did 5 loads of washing this morning. We played and played. We hung up some Christmas decorations. We played and played some more and then Bailey decided that today was the day he was going to really start using the toilet. Every time Brandon went, Bailey then went. Bailey went about 5 times to Brandon's 1. I was so proud of him. He tells me when he needs to do a poo by saying "oo oo" and then running to the toilet. Hopefully toilet training Bailey will be much quicker than with Brandon. Last night was Brandon's 1st real dry night and I had said to him that the morning he wakes up without wetting the bed or his pants, then I will go and buy him whatever toy he likes. Originally he had wanted the dinosaur from Toy Story, but yesterday it changed to he wanted Woody the Cowboy. So off to Kmart we travelled to fulfill my end of the bargain.
Woody was sitting there on the shelf just waiting for Brandon. Brandon was so extremely excited. I bought James the train (part of Thomas The Tank Engine world) for Bailey He loved it. It was his reward for actually going to the toilet. Bailey doesn't wear nappies during the day anymore when we are home. He just loves his Thomas the Tank Engine undies. so that's all he wears. Once we came home I eventually managed to convince both boys that they should have a sleep. It worked. I raced around and did a lot of things. Mostly marketing and advertising of my business, hanging out yet more washing, got my work room ready for my clients and then Bailey woke up. I actually woke Brandon up at the same time so there would be no issues with boys not sleeping this evening.
Once awake, the boys said they didn't want any food they just wanted to jump on the trampoline. So jump they did. They weren't going to starve.Daddy arrived home so that meant I went off to work. Daddy and the 2 boys went to the supermarket to buy fruit and yoghurt and chocolate. $100 later they all crashed and banged back home. Daddy fed the boys dinner while I worked and then once I had finished we bathed them and then played in Bailey's room tonight. Bailey then began his yoghurt onslaught. Eventually both boys were asleep in bed and so is daddy beside me here on the lounge. I can't wait for the Christmas holidays. I think that I better buy some Smarties just in case the boys decide that's what they'd like to leave for Mr and Mrs Santa Claus should they listen to my request!
