The boys love their new trampoline. So do I. Bailey was awake by 5:30am this morning, but luckily daddy and I are up at 4:45am although a little more sleep for Bailey would have been good. So as daddy went off to work Bailey and I went and jumped on the trampoline. We had a great time together. Brandon actually had a sleep in until 6:30am which was fantastic. The 2 boys and I then spent several hours in our pyjamas jumping and wrestling and laughing and having the best time out in the garden on the trampoline.
The 2 boys would still be outside if I hadn't eventually rounded them up and headed inside to get ready for the day. Our plan was to go food shopping. Last week when daddy had taken the boys shopping it hadn't gone so great. Today I was determined not to have the same experience. As we drove through the car park of the shops things were looking great as we managed to score a rock star car park- the closest car spot to the entry of the shops. I even found my double trolley straightaway. I didn't have to go searching and searching. I will have to thank the trolley collectors next time I see them. They hide that 1 double trolley every other day of the week, but every Friday it's tucked away in a little spot just waiting for me.
We went and checked the Po Box and then went to the cheap fruit and vegetable shop, before then returning to our car to drop off our first hoard of food. Then we walked 5 meters from our car back into the shop to do the big food purchase. Brandon had been running very fast through the shops earlier and was wanting to continue his fast pace exercise, but it's Christmas shopping chaos so there was people everywhere. Eventually he jumped into the trolley where he stayed the whole time. Bailey was great as well. He only started crying to get out of the trolley with 1 1/2 aisles to go. Mind you he continued his crying the whole time I was taking everything out of the trolley to pay for it. Eventually I gave him a dinosaur lolly and the monotonous crying stopped. Whatever works I say.
Home we came with Bailey asleep even before we had got out of the car park. Brandon just kept talking and talking. It amazes me that Bailey can sleep with Brandon constantly talking at such a delightfully loud level. He has no quiet button, or at least I can't find it and I'm looking. With Bailey asleep I put a DVD on for Brandon while I unpacked all the food shopping from the car to the cupboard, put out all the rubbish bins, cleaned the fridge and freezer, and then got my work room ready, while having just made lunch for Brandon. Bailey awoke soon after, and after lunch we ventured outside again to jump on the trampoline. Then it started raining. Then it started to really rain. I asked the boys if they wanted to go inside and they said no. Luckily it was warm and humid while it was raining. The laughter got louder and the 2 boys' wrestling continued. They were having a fantastic time.
No matter whether it was rain, hail or sunshine, our 2 boys would be outside jumping on their trampoline. I bet that's where our day will start tomorrow.
