What A Wonderful World.

Thank you to the 2 wonderful people that helped me out today with kids and parcels and trolleys. This morning after we had been jumping on the trampoline for hours we eventually arrived at the shops to pick up our last Christmas Santa lay by at Kmart.  Not remembering the size or the type of toys that I had chosen back in July at the Toy sales, I only innocently took one trolley. This one trolley was soon filled with kids and the food bag plus the emergency survive any type of dilemma bag. So there wasn't much room left. Plus I think I had picked up a smaller than normal trolley. Have I set the scene for what was yet to come?

At the lay by counter, once I had paid my remaining $1.00, the very young lady went to collect my parcels. 10 minutes later while still waiting I was starting to reassess the size of my trolley, and my concern was heightened when eventually the lady reappeared with 1 giant box. But then I had a fleeting "It's going to be OK" moment when the lay by lady said "I'll just get the other box". 2 boxes, 2 children, 1 trolley and 1 me. That was OK. I could do that. But that 1 extra box was actually another 4 boxes. Now nothing was tipped in my favour. So I pulled and pushed and eventually moved 3 metres away from the lay by counter, of which there was now a huge que for collection. Anyway in my own world of how to physically fit 5 big boxes into 1 trolley and still keep the boys safe,  a very nice man, with his own family in the lay by que, came over and asked if he could help. Now I am no good accepting help, but I was stuck. So once I was reassured by his wife that he was not going to run away with all my boxes, good luck to him if he was, he picked up 2 of the boxes and was going to carry them to the car for me while I pushed the trolley. But we had Ben 10 and Thomas The Tank Engine undies that the boys just had to have so we had to go through the registers. I found a second trolley and the gentleman put the boxes into that. I thanked the man sincerely. The 2 boys and I now stretched about 3 metres in length with our trolleys so we went through the wide aisle at Kmart. We paid for our extra things and then moved on out of the shop. One trolley needed a wheel alignment because it just plain veered to the right.

Approaching the exit to the shopping centre doors I thought it looked a bit overcast outside. Not even 6 metres to the exit and there was suddenly a torrential downpour. Now I had 2 boys, 2 trolleys, 5 boxes, a bag of undies, 1 of me and I was just about to get everyone and everything wet. As I stepped out of the shop exit and pulled my entourage to the side, suddenly a lady appeared and asked me if she could help me with all my things to the car. I nearly cried. What wonderful people there are in this world. She was definitely an angel. She didn't mind getting wet and when I said that I'm sure I could manage so that she didn't get wet, she insisted that she help me to my car. Once I had unpacked everyone and everything into the car we sat and recovered by eating some food. I needed to replace some used energy. The 2 boys were great.

When we got home both boys were asleep. I don't blame them. It continued to rain for the rest of  the day, as it is now. I went off to work and the 2 boys and daddy, even though it was raining, went and jumped on the trampoline. Hooray for daddy!! While I was working, all I could hear was the lovely laugh of 2 boys and their daddy. Priceless. What a wonderful world we live in.
