Last Men Standing.

I didn't get a chance to take any photos today. The reason- I literally never sat down or stood still all day. I moved constantly the whole day. The only time I sat down was when I was in the car driving to the huge indoor playground that we spent most of the day at and then driving home. We got to the playground soon after it opened. Oh my goodness! It's school holidays for all the private school kids. Where were all these kids on holiday spending their 2nd day of their holidays? At the indoor playground! Too late, we were in. All I saw was very big kids racing and racing around. I looked down at my 2 beautifull little boys and thought should we be doing this?

We paid our money and entered the enclosure. The boys were off and racing. They kept up with tradition and ran in separate directions. We had invited some friends along as well and they were already there. Brandon played with his friends and then before I knew it he had befriended 2 big boys. They must have been about 8 and 10. All 3 boys played and played for hours. Brandon was amazing. He is just so grown up. He asserted himself when he needed to. He used his words instead of his fists. He looked after Bailey and his other little friends. He is a really nice little boy. He is an extreme extrovert. It is so funny to watch.

Bailey gave up on the age appropriate under 4 years old play section. He wanted to play with the very big boys and girls so off he went to the big playground. I kept right there with him until he squeezed into a part of the playground not designed for adults. He was off. He climbed and slide and flopped and splatted and ran and jumped. He just went and went. He was up there playing alongside the 12 year old kids. My heart was racing, but he insisted in his own way that he was all good. I kept a close eye on him. In fact I had 1 eye on Brandon and 1 eye on Bailey. Our boys just keep going and going. Eventually they were the only 2 still playing while everyone else took a breather.

Many hours later we arrived home. Nobody slept today. So I encouraged quiet time. That still involved me and 2 boys wrestling. My definition of quiet time must not be the same definition of it that the 2 boys have. Oh well. There's nothing like wrestling with the boys. Daddy came home and I slipped out from underneath the boys to go to work, while daddy slipped in and continued the "quiet time" ie wrestling.. The boys watched "Toy Story 1" on DVD this evening and then proceeded to do nudie runs around and around our bedroom before then jumping, completely nude, into our nice clean, little boy butt free bed.  Finally the last 2 boys standing put their heads on the pillow and fell asleep.
