This is my 100th post so that means I have another 265 to go until I have written a post for every day of one whole year. My daily recollection of the activities the 2 boys and I do together is getting closer to becoming a book for the boys to read when they are a bit older. I wonder what I will do once the year is over. I will have to find another activity. Maybe I could just sleep. That sounds like a great alternative to me.
The 2 boys and I left daddy to sleep this morning after his late night drinking with our neighbour. We travelled into the shops to do a few things. We got stuck in the rain again. We are going to build an arc this afternoon because it is still raining. We are so very lucky that our house has not flooded. Everywhere else in sunny Queensland has. We were lucky to have good weather on our holidays. At the shops we were aiming to purchase some great cubed bookshelves for the boys but they had sold out yesterday afternoon. We don't have much luck with bookshelves. One day soon we will get some more. Once we had my big pink plastic container and our other files, which we needed, in the trolley we also came across a Ben 10 back pack and a Toy Story lunchbox and drink bottle. We bought them for Brandon as he starts kindergarten very soon. He put the back pack on straight away and that's where it stayed for several hours.
The 2 boys both wanted to stop at a cafe in the shops so we headed over to it but the que was enormous. I suggested that we go and try Myer because they are always so much quieter. I heard Nanny C's voice in my ear when I suggested such a destination. I even said to the boys as we walked through Myer to the lift that this shop always reminds me of their Nanny C. So the 2 boys and I successfully had morning tea. I can't say that it was relaxing but we did it. There was chocolate muffin all over the ground which was sticking lovingly to the floor with juice. But we all had a good time. Next time I imagine it will be easier.
Heading home it was nice to see that the rain had subsided. Hopefully our house was still there and not going to pass me swimming down the street. It was all good and daddy was up. The rest of the day was spent playing inside as the rain started again. Although after lunch and after the 2 boys had had one last physical fight with each other, I took Bailey and we went and jumped in the car. Actually I was instructed by Brandon that he was going to cook with daddy and that I had to take Bailey somewhere. So Bailey and I headed out along the highway to the nearest baby shop to try and find a bed wetting alarm for Brandon. It is sending me crazy changing Brandon's sheets and pyjamas twice a night and it's been happening for months. The tireder he is, the more frequently it happens. We had no luck at the Baby shop. Apparently they had never heard of them. Will have to check with Nanny A to see where she may have purchased one some 30 years ago. Don't like my chances.
Once home Brandon and daddy had the banana muffins in the oven. Well done to daddy. I didn't think that Brandon would be able to convince him, but he did. So for afternoon tea we had banana muffins. Both boys were so tired that they almost fell asleep on the lounge but we managed to get them fed and bathed first. Brandon only had his hair and face washed tonight because he lost the plot in the bath due to tiredness so I got him out and dressed him and put him into bed. Hope you sleep well boys.
