Welcome to 2011. Let's hope that this year is a fantastic year for everyone. We hope that it's a happy and healthy and prosperous year for all. Our 1st day of the New Year was spent principally at the beach. We started off going for a very long walk/ swim/discovery of the beach and all its rock pools. Then we headed on home to go for a swim. By now it was 1pm and daddy and I had planned to get the kids to have a lunchtime sleep today but it was bordering on too late, especially as they hadn't eaten a proper sit down lunch. Things weren't looking promising on the sleep side of things.
We all had lunch then daddy and Brandon watched cartoons on the TV while Bailey and I went and jumped on the jumping pillow. It was very hot so we both jumped in the pillow part that was in the shade so that kept us jumping a bit longer. Eventually we headed home and drank many litres of water, rounded daddy and Brandon up and went off to the beach again. We played and played and swam in the ocean and climbed stairs to take some great photos. We walked on the rocks discovering rock pools and all their little secrets. It was sheer delight. Eventually the wind picked up and the blue bottles emerged on the sand so we started walking back to our cabin. Mind you that process in itself took a very long time.
We started dinner as soon as we got home because the boys were so very tired. Bailey ate like I have never seen him eat before. He actually plowed through pasta and yoghurt and fruit salad within minutes. He swallowed it all too. Usually, actually I mean every single time, Bailey gets more food on the floor than he does in his mouth. Hooray for salt air and lots of swimming. Maybe that's the trick. So now the boys are both finally asleep. Again it took a long time. Maybe once they are back in their own beds in their own rooms they might start sleeping better.
Well my goals for the year are few but important to me. I aim to achieve both of them by this time next year. Stay tuned. I'll let you know. They are:
1. Purchase 2 investment properties, subdivide and renovate.
2. Swim with dolphins.
Welcome to 2011. I hope everyone has had a great first day of 2011.
