Little Angels

Well we are back into the swing of things and suddenly the 2 boys, especially Brandon, are very different boys. Over the 3 weeks that we have been on holiday Bailey has grown up so much. Brandon wasn't an angry boy today. It was wonderful. Daddy went off to work for the first time for 2011 and that left the 2 boys and I at home. We all played with play dough for a very long time this morning. We made a dinosaur and a person and a whole snail family. Everyone worked and played together really well. For the rest of the day I'll just give a brief rundown. I really need to be doing several other things all at the same time.

* After play dough we all had breakfast, got dressed for the day, and then jumped in the car.

* First stop was Office Works to look for some labels for Brandon to mark all his things for kindy. Didn't have the original labels we were hoping for so we went to plan B - a DIY label maker. Was the first time in my life that I have run through Office Works. Things still look enticing even when you're running fast through the aisles to catch 2 small children.

* Went on to Spotlight to look at curtains. We are wanting a very large and thick curtain to separate my work room at the front of the house from the remainder of the house. First though we had to look at every other item in the shop. We even looked at balloons. Eventually we found the curtain section but again the whole curtain area was a blur through my eyes as again Bailey decided to run. The bigger the shop the faster he runs. So I didn't get a curtain. I did buy a few little things for the boys like- 2 balloons, a drink bottle, a Thomas lunch box and a little wooden car and aeroplane that had 4 textas for you to colour them in. The boys were actually super patient as we waited our turn in the line.

*Went to visit daddy as we were almost right next to his workplace. Was brief as everyone was very busy.

* Panicked that I wouldn't find a petrol station quick enough before my car ran out fuel but thankfully I did. We all traipsed into the service station to pay and then all traipsed back to the car. I got excited when I saw an Eftpos machine attached to the bowser so that I could pay right there at the pump and not have to unpack kids. But no it didn't work.

* Asked the boys if they would like to have a sleep. Both boys screamed a no straight back at me with huge smiles so I asked them if they wanted to go to the supermarket and they said yes. In we went. Tried to buy some veggies but there is none available because of the floods. Grabbed what fruit they had.

* Arrived home where the boys coloured in their car and plane. I made phone calls and watched the 2 little angels revert back to 2 little devils. It's a phone thing.

* We played and coloured and sang and tried to keep cool. Before we knew it daddy was home and I was off to work for 2011.

* Brandon, Bailey and daddy jumped on the trampoline all afternoon and later Brandon preceded to fall off the climbing equipment apparently.

* Brandon ate dinner while Bailey ate nothing. I managed to eventually get some yoghurt and fruit salad into him. Bath, dressed and then time for bed. I put Brandon to bed tonight and we read so many books. We just kept going and going until eventually Brandon said that he couldn't move his body because he was too tired. Then he told me he was hungry and wanted some food. He asked for some chips and before you know it he had jumped straight up out of his bed. I don't really know how tired he was then. Eventually he went to sleep.

Both boys have been perfect little angels today. Obviously they prefer their routine that we have as they are much happier. I hope that their halos stay shinning tomorrow.
